This add-on capability to desktop licenses removes a core Simcenter Nastran limitation: the Nastran input file for solution must be written out by Simcenter Femap and cannot be edited by the user from the OS.

With this add-on users are, in most cases but not all, able to edit the input files from the OS. The Node Locked version of the Desktop Extension still has the limitation that it must be run on the same computer as Femap.
