Meet the team: Get to know Corey Anderson

We’re excited to welcome Corey Anderson to the team as a PLM-NX Integration Engineer! With 21 years of experience, his expertise spans mechanical design engineering, Siemens NX CAD/CAM, Teamcenter PLM systems, fixture design, assembly process design, and documentation. Recently, Corey has been exploring advanced customization techniques in Siemens NX to streamline workflows.  

 

Q: What made you want to join the Applied team? 

A: I’m passionate about leveraging my extensive experience in NX and PLM systems to contribute to innovative projects. The Applied team’s focus on advanced solutions aligns perfectly with my background in Siemens NX and Teamcenter customization and administration. 

 

Q: What are your areas of expertise? 

A: Mechanical design engineering (21 years of experience). Siemens NX CAD/CAM and Teamcenter PLM systems. Fixture design, assembly process design, and documentation. NX customization, administration, and deployment. Training and mentoring in NX/Teamcenter operations. 

 

Q: What’s your background or education? 

A: Attended Purdue University, College of Engineering 

 

Q: How did you get started in your field? 

A: I began my career in mechanical design engineering, focusing on mechanical design. Over time, I expanded into PLM systems, software deployment, and mentoring roles, which allowed me to combine technical expertise with leadership. 

 

Q: Where are you based? 

A: Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. 

 

Q: What’s your favorite way to start the day? 

A: I like to start my day with a strong cup of coffee and a quick review of my priorities. It helps me stay focused and organized before diving into the day. 

 

Q: What’s a favorite quote or motto you live by? 

A: Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection. 

 

Q: What’s something new you’ve learned recently—work-related or not? 

A: Recently, I’ve been exploring advanced customization techniques in Siemens NX to streamline workflows, and outside of work, I’ve been learning more about 3D printing applications in everyday problem-solving. 

 

Q: What’s a professional achievement you’re proud of? 

A: Successfully supported over 300 users in Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments at Hendrick Motorsports. Led the 3D printing initiative for the Engineering/Design group at GE Transportation. Delivered custom NX and Teamcenter solutions that improved deployment efficiency and user experience.
