What is Simcenter Amesim used for?
Amesim is a comprehensive 1D multiphysics system simulation platform. It lets engineers model, run, and analyze complex mechatronic systems, spanning fluid, mechanical, electrical, and thermal domains, and supports a continuous model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop workflow from early sizing through full system integration.

Does Amesim integrate with other engineering tools?
Yes. Amesim connects to your existing toolchain through industry-standard interfaces including MATLAB/Simulink and the FMI standard, works across the rest of the Simcenter portfolio, and can generate system models directly from NX Diagramming XML files.

Does Amesim include AI capabilities?
Amesim itself doesn't have a dedicated AI feature built in. Siemens now also offers Amesim as part of Simcenter X Advanced, a separate cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service bundle, which includes an integrated multi-language AI chat assistant for documentation and troubleshooting. That AI capability is exclusive to the Simcenter X Advanced bundle, not the standard Amesim license.

Amesim is available through perpetual licensing, term-based subscription (named-user or token-pool), floating/network licenses for teams sharing a concurrent-user pool, or Simcenter X Tokens through the cloud-based Simcenter X Advanced bundle.
