What is Realize LIVE?

Every year, Siemens’ Realize LIVE event is THE place for users and customers of Siemens Digital Industries Software to get the latest news and information about all the Siemens Solutions for CAD/CAM/CAE and PLM. Realize LIVE is an excellent opportunity to network with the Siemens software community and learn new ways to maximize your investments in Siemens tools.

Held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on May 13 – 16, this is the event of the year to attend! The Applied team will be there, with several team members presenting. We’ll also have a sizable presence in the event hall at booth 406.

We have discount codes available to customers and friends. If you’d like one, let us know as soon as possible. We’d love to see you there!

Standing up the Mechanical Routed System Designer in NX
  • Date: Tuesday, May 14th, 3:15pm PDT
  • Location: Breakers L
  • Presenter: Scott Painter, Design and Manufacturing Application Engineer

NX Mechanical Routed System Designer is a powerful tool that can save a company time and money and help reduce design errors. However, getting everything configured in a manner that allows a company to realize the full benefits of utilizing the application is not as simple as installing an NX add-on. It is a process that requires knowledge, planning, resources, and time to set up and roll out. Standard parts must be created and qualified. PTB, PLV, and APV files require authoring and modification to fit the needs of an organization. All of this must be completed before the company can start implementing the tool.

Applied CAx specializes in assisting companies and organizations in setting up and configuring the Mechanical Routed System Designer to meet their specific needs with the quickest turnaround and the most cost-effective manner possible.

mark sampsonAdvice from the front lines: Systems Engineering (verb) your MBSE Implementation
  • Date: Monday, May 13th, 1:30pm PDT
  • Location:  Oceanside FPresenter: Mark Sampson, Systems Engineering Evangelist,
  • INCOSE/Applied CAx

As a Systems Engineering Evangelist (who recently retired from Siemens,) there have been failed attempts to implement MBSE in organizations that had nothing to do with the tools. Put another way, the tools are more capable than your organization can use due to your existing organizational processes and practices. This means that successful MBSE implementation will require organizational change.

From experience in implementing MBSE in a variety of industries and well-known brands, the team developed a practice for successful MBSE implementation in organizations, including, MBSE process maturity, justification/ROI, organization change management, and best practices for MBSE success, which will be shared during this session, giving you a tool kit for successfully implementing MBSE to its full potential your organization.
