Teamcenter Engineer (Consultant)

This is a 100% remote position open to candidates in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery and quality of deliverables.
  • Meeting with business leaders/sponsors to provide technical guidance and transpose business needs into function, technical, and system requirements.
  • Provide weekly status reports to business stakeholders.
  • Wide range of customer projects, including stylesheet changes, data model changes, workflow configurations, and Teamcenter upgrades.
  • Responsible for a steady flow of incoming helpdesk tickets from all customers.
  • Assist customers with admin work. Troubleshooting active workflows, adding/removing personnel from the organization, login issues, etc.
  • Assist customers with more complicated tickets like EBOM/DBOM Alignment features, SQL Server deadlocks, and strange AWC behavior, amongst other problem-solving.
  • Assist in the development of a successful Teamcenter templatized platform that can be standardized and reused for multiple clients. The training will include:
    • Working with CAD in a managed environment
    • Workflows and processes that the customer will be able to follow along in the own Teamcenter instance.
  • Assist in the development of a well-documented requirements gathering process to ensure our clients are aligned with the deliverables of the customer Teamcenter database.
  • Assist in the development of a Standardized Requirements Gathering, project plan, and Customer Acceptance Processes:
    • Assist in the development of a well-documented requirements-gathering process to ensure our clients are aligned with the deliverables of the customer Teamcenter database.
    • Assist in the development of a “conference room pilot” process to walk through the customer’s Teamcenter environment in a guided presentation, resulting in a customer acceptance of the finished project and completion of the scope of work.
  • Assist in the development of a baseline Teamcenter installation that can be reused for multiple clients and reduces the standard development implementation time.
  • Assist in the development of webinars consisting of presentations and live demonstrations of Teamcenter.
  • Obtain Siemens technical Teamcenter sales certificate.
  • Travel to visit customers for in-person meetings with necessary.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to grow Siemens’ software sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of Teamcenter experience

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience installing and working with Teamcenter Reporting and Analytics (TcRA)
  • Knowledgeable about Security & Access Controls within Teamcenter PLM system (Access Manager)
  • Familiar with basic workflow configurations (Workflow Designer)
  • Working with customers to optimize Change Management process (Change Management/Workflow Designer)
  • Data Model Configuration (BMIDE)
  • Familiarity with the Teamcenter 4-tier architecture in order to assist with installation and upgrade of customer’s multi-server environments
  • Administrative work with ActiveWorkspace
  • Experience with CAD data conversions (Content Migration Manager or CMM)
