Q: What made you want to join the Applied team?
A: Seeing the team cooperate at Siemens Realize, as well as the positive and extremely helpful recruiters Applied has, immediately stood out to me, and I wanted to be a part of that experience!
Q: What are your areas of expertise?
A: Teamcenter integration with Rapid Author, Content Management configuration (S1000D 4.X and DITA 1.3+), as well as testing and validation of Teamcenter use cases.
Q: What’s your background or education?
A: Bachelor’s in Science (Computer Science) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Q: How did you get started in your field?
A: Fresh from college, my former employer reached out to me and offered me an inceptor program with a job contract!
Q: Where are you based?
A: Charlotte, North Carolina
Q: What’s your favorite way to start the day?
A: I like waking up, usually to a cat on my chest, making breakfast for my 3 kitties, and helping my partner get ready for work. Then the downtime right before my 8 AM start is my favorite time to prepare myself for the day ahead and take a minute to breathe!
Q: What’s a favorite quote or motto you live by?
A: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” – Paulo Coelho
Q: What’s something new you’ve learned recently—work-related or not?
A: I learned how important it is to take time for yourself and your health! It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but it’s extremely important to keep your mind clean and clear for all that life throws at you, and also enjoy all the small things!
Q: What’s a professional achievement you’re proud of?
A: As the only ITAR person on my last team, I delivered two projects to a highly valuable customer that worked with the US government and did a Rapid Author upgrade on my own. Working as a team on a project that eventually became declassified and has an aerospace product that now exists in real life was such a commendation in itself!
