Meet the team: Get to know Kristianne Issa

May 05, 2026

We’re excited to welcome Kristianne Issa to the team as a PLM Software Engineer! Kristianne has a background in computer science and engineering, with more than four years of experience in PLM. Some specialties include server-side customization, client-side customization, configuration, and administration. Kristianne has worked across diverse industries, including aerospace and automotive.

Q: What made you want to join the Applied team?

A: I joined Applied CAx to sharpen my programming skills and to experience the change of pace by working for a more tight-knit company.

Q: What are your areas of expertise?

A: With my background in software engineering and my consulting experience, I am a subject matter expert in the customization, configuration, and administration of Teamcenter and Active Workspace.

Q: What’s your background or education?

A: I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

Q: How did you get started in your field?

A: I have a diverse range of experience. Starting with a computer engineering role developing firmware for IoT devices, then transitioning over to software consulting. I decided to move back into software engineering here at Applied CAx to broaden my computer science knowledge.

Q: Where are you based?

A: I am based in the Metro Detroit Area in Michigan, USA.

Q: What’s your favorite way to start the day?

A: I usually start my workday by crawling over to my laptop, checking my emails and messages as I wake up to get my brain back in the zone immediately. After catching up on important updates, I’ll take a step back and actually prepare to start my day with a light breakfast. Although if it’s the weekend…I prefer to stay in bed as long as possible to really feel like I have a day off.

Q: What’s a favorite quote or motto you live by?

A: “Everything happens for a reason,” and “this too shall pass” have gotten me through tough times.

Q: What’s something new you’ve learned recently—work-related or not?

A: I recently got into pickleball. I spent the entirety of last summer just learning how to fix my terrible serves…although now that it’s the season again, I sure hope I haven’t forgotten!

Q: What’s a professional achievement you’re proud of?

A: I have presented at conferences for Siemens both externally and internally—at Realize LIVE and Converge Customer Success Conference.
