Manage repositories
The repository helps you determine whether you have everything you need for an installation or update. One fantastic component of the Deployment Center is that it will tell the administrator when a dependency is required. For example, when applying a patch to Teamcenter using Deployment Center, the administrator will be notified that there is a dependency with the base software that needs to be aligned. You cannot proceed until the dependency has been addressed. This removes the ability to inadvertently make mistakes during the build and deployment of the environments.

Create Teamcenter environment snapshots
Deployment Center can create a snapshot of an environment, which records the applications, components, parameter settings, deployment status, and other properties in the form of a Quick Deploy XML file. Snapshots can be used to capture an environment in a current state and to roll an environment back to a previous state, if necessary.

Export Teamcenter environments
You can use an existing environment as a starting point to create a new environment. You can export an XML configuration file that contains the selected environment’s configuration. Edit this configuration file and then reuse it as the input XML file for the dc_quick_deploy utility.

Generate an environment validation report
Deployment Center generates an environment validation report that contains feature mappings, information about scanned TEM environments, and actions to perform to complete the configuration of the scanned environment.
