We’re excited to welcome Heather Liberadzki to the team as a Project Manager! With years of experience, Heather brings expertise in project management, complemented by a background in engineering and manufacturing. She has worked for leading companies such as Siemens, where she honed her knowledge in software implementation.
Q: What made you want to join the Applied team?
A: Applied is a small company, and I really wanted to be part of a small company again, where we are seen as important contributors to the organization that can truly make an impact, and not just a faceless number in a large corporation.
Q: What are your areas of expertise?
A: My area of expertise is project management. Because I also have a background in engineering and manufacturing, I have the benefit of being able to speak to and understand the customer in their language.
Q: What’s your background or education?
A: My background is in automotive engineering, mainly quality and GD&T. I migrated to project management after a 5-year position in Germany with Siemens, where I learned about the software implementation side of things.
Q: How did you get started in your field?
A: I got my first engineering position working as a contractor at General Motors while I was still in college. I got my first real Project Manager position while working for a small consulting firm in Germany.
Q: Where are you based?
A: I am based in a small town just outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I’ve lived here for 11 years.
Q: What’s your favorite way to start the day?
A: A fresh cup of coffee and a hug from my son.
Q: What’s a favorite quote or motto you live by?
A: Never give up!
Q: What’s something new you’ve learned recently—work-related or not?
A: I started taking horseback riding lessons about 5 years ago, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I started riding in horse shows as well. I love the energy!
Q: What’s a professional achievement you’re proud of?
A: I’m proud of taking the leap to move to Germany to learn a completely different side of the business, using my engineering skills to be able to communicate with customers about engineering software.
