We’re excited to welcome Justin Adams to the team as a PLM Implementation Engineer! With over three years of hands-on experience in Product Lifecycle Management, his expertise spans Teamcenter administration, Shop Floor Connect integration, and CAD platform connectivity. Justin has worked across multiple CAD systems, most recently focusing on SolidWorks integration with tailored template configuration and attribute mapping to streamline data flow into Teamcenter.
Q: What made you want to join the Applied team?
A: I was ready to make a change and wanted to expand my career.
Q: What are your areas of expertise?
A: I am still pretty new to this, so if I had to pick one, it would be Shop Floor Connect.
Q: What’s your background or education?
A: My degree is in Environmental Science, but most of my background has been in material sciences and chemistry.
Q: How did you get started in your field?
A: My brother convinced me that I would be good at this job.
Q: Where are you based?
A: I am based in New York, 30 minutes outside of Albany.
Q: What’s your favorite way to start the day?
A: Although I am not a morning person, early when the birds awake with a nice cup of coffee.
Q: What’s a favorite quote or motto you live by?
A: Never let yesterday use up too much of today.
Q: What’s something new you’ve learnt recently—work-related or not?
A: How to do a Solid Works integration.

A: Starting to understand this role more and feeling more confident in my abilities to do this job.
