We are looking for someone that can discover new opportunities while communicating our vision to a diverse and technical client base. We are a top reseller for Siemens design/analysis/manufacturing software, training and consulting services that adds value to our clients’ business. 

Role:
As a Sales Development Rep (SDR), you will play a key role in supporting the success of our sales team and growth of our company. Your charter will be to help your account manager counterparts win by filling their calendars and sales pipeline with qualified opportunities that you source, develop, and qualify.

You will be trained and coached to become the best sales development rep that you can be, providing you a framework for advancing your career in technology sales. The ideal candidate will have technical aptitude or experience and will be excited at growing their career in technology sales. Once hired this person will need to attend training in Michigan for 4 weeks by industry professionals.

Our SDRs collaborate with the sales and marketing team to partner and serve a great sales organization based in one of our two offices in Portland, OR.

We are looking for driven, passionate professionals with a strong desire to learn, collaborate, lean in and try new things, work hard, have fun, and win.

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the outbound prospecting effort for your territories in support of your account executives’ sales strategy
  • Research potential new prospects using various web-based tools
  • Execute strategic prospecting campaigns to target accounts and executive personas via phone, email, social, and potentially direct mail
  • Develop new sales opportunities with qualified buyers and keep your account executives’ pipeline full
  • Maintain a consistently high level of outbound call volumes with daily/weekly call expectations of 30/150
  • Participate in regular planning, strategy, and training meetings with peers, account executives, sales management, and marketing

Expectations and Experience: 

  • Show commitment and accountability for your attainment to monthly/quarterly quotas and your career growth
  • Be humble, coachable, great to work with, and open to trying new things
  • Have passion to develop a successful career in engineering technology sales
  • 1-2 years previous experience in an account/business/sales development role desired but not required
  • Bonus: previous experience in a phone-based, customer-facing role
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn and follow our sales development process and capture data into our CRM
  • Ability to deliver on daily/weekly call and activity targets
  • Quantifiable evidence of past success and ongoing learning
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit – exhibited by creativity, optimism, and hustle
  • Ability to execute the strategic nature of territory sales plans, focusing on the development of large, long-term business outcomes
  • Demonstrate the qualities of a leader – strong listener, self-driven, accountable, and capable of delivering exceptional results
