NX Open Tutorial – Improve Your Workflows

In this tutorial we look at NX Open, show you the value, and show what you can do with it. We also show examples of automation, and how to get started with NX Open methods such as journaling/capturing processes.

What can you do with the NX Open tool kit? These are the three basic concepts of what you can do with NX Open:

Automate complicated and repetitive tasks within the NX environment
Customize the NX environment to your specific industry, product or process needs
Integrate with third party applications and platforms

Going further, NX Open is a set of libraries and classes that allow a user to integrate with an ERP to work with NX. Users can also achieve a great level of customization. Some examples of what you can automate include creating and editing geometry; transforming, rotating, plaining solid bodies; creating points, center lines; updating expressions in parametric parts; and pulling data from part files to analyze for design validation or verification processes. We also discuss some of the NX customization & automation services that we provide.
