In-Place with Cut-Over

  2. Clone (Source) to (Target)
  3. (Target) Upgrade, to validate process
  4. (Target) Conduct UAT
  5. (Source) Upgrade, to get updated schema
  6. Clone (Source) to (Target), shutdown (Source)
  7. (Target) Install Clients

In-Place with no Cut-Over

  1. (Target) Install Old Software
  2. Clone (Source) to (Target)
  3. (Target) Upgrade, to validate process
  4. (Target) Conduct UAT
  5. (Source) Upgrade
  6. (Source) Install Clients

Both processes are similar yet differ in their execution.
